April showers

We are in a drought! We are being told we can't use our hosepipes, to be careful and considerate with the water we use!

Well if this is a drought I'd hate to see what it's like when it's rainy! I better start building my Ark now!

Ok, I know it's not just about how much it rains, I know it's about collection and storage etc, etc, blah, blah but seriously I can't remember the last dry day and its supposed to carry on for the next week!

my lawn is so water logged I might start growing rice and I've had to empty my water butt 5 times into various large containers because it keeps overflowing!

It's wet, miserable and quite frankly I've had enough!

I want some Sun! Seriously if we're in a drought let it at least feel like a drought!

How about you, If you hear one more person say "nice weather for ducks" or "at least it's good for the garden" will you too scream at them that you're not a duck and your garden is no longer so much a garden as aspiring to be a swimming pool? Or do you actually like and appreciate the weather we're having? Are you perhaps out there "singing in the rain" Gene Kelly style?

The Wide World without the Web

It's been a strange few days at my house, our broadband connection or possibly our router stopped working we still haven't had a straight answer from Sky, who by the way have absolutely crap customer service! Virgin Media please feel free to vie for my affection! Anyway for 5 days we have been without Internet at home and you would not believe the impact it has had on my children, even the 3 year old who couldn't believe that she couldn't get on the cbeebies website!

 For 5 days it's been ...

"I'm going to die without the internet!!"

My response .. " Well no actually you're not going to die without Internet, if I take away food and water you might but not from lack of Facebook or Twitter!"

 And .....

"Oh my god! I just realised I can't even email!"

 My response to this.......

"No, but oh, I don't know, How about you do something really out there like say talking to someone face to face or pick up the phone and have a real life conversation or and here's the REALLY out there thing if they don't live near by you could pick up one of those things that makes marks on paper, you know the ones, No, not the printer! A pen and write an actual letter!"

And yes surprisingly I have been told I'm sarcastic before!

Anyway they looked at me like I was a mad woman! Ok maybe they're not wrong but in the whole Internet thing they are!

I admit it has been an inconvenience for me too, I do a lot online I'll be the first to admit that but that being said I have got a lot more done without the Internet to distract me!

But I have missed Twitter and words with friends, ooh and draw something and my emails and of course my blog and all the blogs I read and now have to catch up with..... OK I admit it, I'm as much a slave to the World Wide Web as the next person(unless the next person is my mum she hates computers!) but I've managed!

How about you, could you manage without the Internet?

And then there was joy!

One of the many good things about being a parent especially if you have a little one is you can't be miserable for long! They just won't let you!

My darling little mad child just came up to me and in the best pirate voice that a 3 year old can muster said "aar matey tis time to dig for buried treasure!" so the now smiling me is off to dig for treasure.

Actually I think I already found it!

Pouring my heart out

I Hate my life!

Ok that is a big massive sweeping statement but right here right now I hate my life! And I'm more than a little bit angry with myself for feeling this way when there are people all over the world in far worse situations than myself.

But it's one of those days where everything seems wrong with the world, where it's a cold dark place that right now I would rather like to run away from.

So this is a bit of self therapy, get the thoughts out there so to speak.

The thing is not one thing has made me feel this Way it's a multitude of things that have just got me to the point where I want to scream!

I feel utterly freaking miserable!

Are you Paraskevidekatriaphobic?

When I decided to write a post about Friday the 13th I thought I'd include a few facts about why it's considered unlucky! we all know the religious significance about 13 around a table but as I read I started to freak myself out so much that I was scared I was going to create some sort of weird self fulfilling prophecy after all apparently "Friday 13th is unlucky for some. The risk of hospital admission as a result of a transport accident may be increased by as much as 52 percent. Staying at home is recommended"! See what I mean!

And did you know there is an actual phobia about Friday 13th it has a name and everything! — Paraskevidekatriaphobics — people afflicted with a morbid, irrational fear of Friday the 13th!

I myself have a fear of saying Paraskevidekatriaphobia! Well it's not exactly easy is it? Not quite as difficult as saying Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (a small town with a big name in Wales, just in case you didn't know) but its up there!

Anyway in light of all this I have decided that I am going to declare Friday 13th a good luck day! Although I won't be doing anything to tempt fate like walking under a ladder while crossing a black cats path but I don't often do that anyway!

How do you feel about Friday 13th? Are you Paraskevidekatriaphobic? Or do you think it's just another day?

Just noticed I had 13 page view yesterday! Should I be worried? I mean apart from the fact I only had 13 views!

Sunday 8 April 2012

No, not Happy Chocolate Day, Happy Easter!

Now I'm not a religious person but if I hear one more person wish another person a Happy Chocolate Day! I will scream! It's Easter! Easter is not just about the the giving and recieving of chocolate!

Don't get me wrong, I love receiving chocolate ( if you want to send me some I really won't refuse!) and like I said I'm not religious but I do respect the believes of those that are and I do think it's important that if you celebrate something you know why you're celebrating it!

Just needed to get that off my chest!

So with that done, Happy Easter!

Storm in a D cup!

I am angry, annoyed and frustrated! What has made me feel this way you ask? (ok, maybe you didn't ask but I'm going to tell you anyway) Bras! That's what! Or should I say the limited choice of affordable nice bras.

You see, I am what you might call rather well endowed in the boob department and for some reason almost everywhere you look offering bras bigger than a DD cup seem to mainly stock minimiser bras or great big cover everywhere may as well be a vest type bras and I neither want to make them appear smaller or cover them up! Ok that sounds slightly wrong but I like my boobs or at least I like my boobs when they're hoisted up by a good push up bra putting them back in the position that they used to be before I breast fed my many children!

What I keep finding is this

All I want is an affordable sexy bra that makes the most of my ample cleavage while still looking good under clothes! Ladies I'm sure you know what I'm talking about! Is that too much to ask? I think not!

what I want is something like this

Although this is intriguing!

So suggestions please
